Cluster mechanic
Six reels, six rows, cluster pays. Five or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically pay out. The cartoon set:
- Gold bar (W): Top payer, 25x for a 15+ cluster
- Bag of loot (B): 7.5x for 15+
- Baguette, cheese, goblet: 4x–5x for 15+
- Beer, pretzel, key: 2.5x–3x for 15+
- Card suits (spade, heart, club, diamond): 0.5x–2x for 15+
- Wild: Substitutes for any paying symbol
Every winning cluster tumbles. Symbols clear, new ones drop in, the spin continues until no new cluster forms. Cluster pays tend to chain longer than scatter pays. Five to fifteen tumbles on a hot board is normal.
Golden Squares
Golden Squares is the bonus trigger. When a rainbow coin symbol lands and is part of a winning cluster, it marks the position of every symbol in that cluster as a Golden Square. The marked positions stay marked for the next spin (and the spin after that) until a bronze, silver or gold coin lands on them.
The coin types:
- Bronze coin: 1x–5x stake, lands on Golden Squares during any spin
- Silver coin: 5x–20x stake
- Gold coin: 10x–100x stake, only lands in bonus rounds
In the base game, marked Golden Squares wait for bronze and silver coins. In bonus rounds, gold coins enter the mix. The trick is building up enough marked squares before a bonus triggers. A 30-square cluster with a stack of gold coin landings can clear 5,000x on a single bonus spin.
Three bonus rounds
Three bonus symbols land the bonus. The type of bonus depends on which symbols land:
- Lucky Finale (3 FS scatters): 8 free spins, only gold coins land in the bonus. Every marked Golden Square that catches a gold coin pays out at end of round
- Treasure at the End of the Rainbow (4 FS scatters): 12 free spins, gold and silver coins land, every gold coin in a marked position adds a +4 multiplier to that position
- All That Glitters is Gold (5 FS scatters): 12 free spins with sticky positions, every Golden Square stays marked for the entire round, all three coin types land
All That Glitters is Gold is the headline round. With 12 spins and sticky marks, the running total builds across the whole round. A 1,000x+ payout on a 0.20 spin is realistic on a hot board. The 10,000x cap is rare but achievable.

Stats at a glance
Hacksaw publishes 96.34% RTP, 10,000x max win, medium-high volatility. Hit rate around 30%, the highest of any Hacksaw title at Royal Reels. The base game pays out often enough to keep balance ticking, which is why the game sits in the top three most-played Hacksaw titles here.
Royal Reels lists Le Bandit at AU$0.10 minimum, AU$100 max bet. Bonus Buy (60x stake for Lucky Finale, 100x for Treasure at the End of the Rainbow, 200x for All That Glitters is Gold) is available where local regulations allow. Base game bonus trigger frequency lands around once every 200 spins on average.
Compared to other Hacksaw cluster pays titles (Cubes 2, RIP City), Le Bandit has a lower max win (10,000x vs 14,000x and 12,500x) but a higher hit rate and more frequent bonuses. If you want long sessions on a smaller bankroll, Le Bandit is the better pick. If you want a single huge payout, RIP City or Cubes 2 are stronger.
Playing at Royal Reels
Le Bandit sits in Hacksaw's section of the lobby, usually pinned to the top of the Hacksaw shelf. Demo mode is open without an account. Real-money play needs a login and an AU$10 minimum deposit.
The game counts 100% toward bonus wagering on the welcome bonus and most reload promos. The Royal Reels free spin welcome allocation sometimes includes Le Bandit. Check the bonus terms to confirm. The Buy Feature is available where allowed.
For AU players, the practical setup starts with PayID. Demo the game for a few minutes to see how the Golden Squares mechanic builds across spins, then drop a small balance and run a session. The hit rate is high enough that 50–100 spins usually produces a bonus or two. From there it's standard pokie play. Set a stop-loss, don't chase the bonus, and walk when the time's up.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the max win on Le Bandit?+
10,000x your stake. At the AU$100 max bet, the ceiling is AU$1,000,000. Royal Reels's version caps the same way Hacksaw publishes. The spin stops automatically when the cap is hit.
How does the Golden Squares feature work?+
When a rainbow coin is part of a winning cluster, every position in the cluster is marked as a Golden Square. The marks stay for subsequent spins until a bronze, silver or gold coin lands on them, paying out the coin's value.
What is the best Le Bandit bonus round?+
All That Glitters is Gold (5 FS scatters) is the highest-paying. Sticky Golden Squares for 12 spins with all three coin types in play. Treasure at the End of the Rainbow is the middle pick. Lucky Finale is the easiest to trigger but pays the least.
Can I buy a bonus round on Le Bandit?+
Yes. The Bonus Buy options are 60x stake for Lucky Finale, 100x for Treasure at the End of the Rainbow, and 200x for All That Glitters is Gold. Available where local regulations allow.
